The wings came out beautifully crispy and golden, and the sauce was absolutely delicious. However, cooking the sauce for 5 minutes made it too thick and gummy to coat the wings properly. I ended up thinning it out with a bit of water and warming it back up, which worked well. Maybe the sauce only needs a couple of minutes on the heat? Either way, thank you so much! I’ll definitely be making these again—the crunch and flavors were fantastic!

Loved every recipe I’ve tried so far but I was worried about so much dark soy sauce. It is just way way too salty and ruined the wings. I loved your wing cooking method and wish I’d stopped there The wings were perfect and crisp and really tasty, I’m sure even using less than half the amount of soy you suggested would be really tasty.

Hi Debi
You can use 1 lemon grass stalk, chopped really finely (remove the outer leaves first).
If you can’t find that, you leave it out entirely. It will still taste great 🙂

I have not yet made this recipe but am planning to make it tonight for dinner. I haven’t been able to find lemongrass paste in the grocery stores in my area. Do you have any recommendations for something that I can use to substitute for the lemongrass paste without sacrificing the overall flavor of the dish? I would appreciate any suggestions you may have!

These are on rotation every week in our household. The crispiness is next level and the sticky sauce is delicious. I did reduce the sugar to only 1 TBL honey and same of brown sugar so it wasn’t too sweet and it was perfect. Totally love this dish. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The wings baked up crispy and brown and the sauce was to die for, but 5 minutes of cooking made it too gummy to enjoy coated on wings. I ended up adding some water to sauce and softening over heat. Maybe just a few minutes needed to cook sauce? Anyway, Thank you very much. I’ll be trying these again. Great crunch and flavors!
