Hi Jim, here in the UK we have medium eggs. I wasn’t aware you couldn’t get medium elsewhere. Are you in USA?

I have never seen a “Medium” egg in a major grocery store.

Large, Extra Large, Jumbo. Never medium.

In any case I always purchase Jumbo eggs. Why not give eggs in grams?

I have started using silicone muffin tin liners and they are amazing for Yorkshire puddings.

Dear Nicky, Thank you for for your Yorkshire Pudding recipe. My late mother (from England) used to make it for us as children and we really enjoyed. With your recipe I am going to start making it myself.
Kind Regards

My mom used to make lovely Yorkshire puds and I have her recipe. I have used it often but decided to try yours. They rose so much I was shocked. They were really beautiful (sorry, didn’t think to take a photo). I think the point you stress about the “smoking hot” oil is what makes the difference. I have always heated the fat but not to the smoking hot level. Sadly, my family didn’t arrive on time, so I had to keep them warm in a dutch oven on the stovetop. They tasted delicious but did look as nice because they fell. I will definitely be making these again. Thank you for the recipe and tips.

Followed the recipe but mine came up one short and very flat. Not a lot of flavour in them either

Lived in the UK ten years. So excited. Just a FYI, the flour measurement is 140g (1 cup – 1 TBS) not as written 140g (1 cup + 1 TBS) 🙂

I made these and they rose beautifully, so pretty. I was so excited but every one was stuck to the pan. I couldn’t even pry them loose. I used vegetable oil. What did I do wrong?

I just found your site and I must tell you that it is very well put together. You supply all the information needed to follow your recipes. They are clear and easy to follow and you don’t speak too fast to be understood. You also have some very interesting meals for me to make. I am going to make the lamb meal first and I will let you know how it turns out. After that I am going to try your yorkshire pudding recipe. It’s a bit different than the one I have, but it looks good. I am very happy I found you. Marie
